More to read
October 21, 2004 9:37 p.m., MT Sunni gave some links to new web items yesterday. I've a couple to add today. Endervidualism has a new column from Cat Farmer. This one is a real gem. You've undoubtedly heard the expression "War is the Health of the State." Cat's new essay discusses the State's domestic issues as opposed to foreign policy. 'Crime is the Wealth of the State' may give Randolph Bourne's quip a run for best anti-statist one-liner. This new essay from Cat is a true treasure trove of anti-statist ideas. Also, I recently wrote a review of a movie which is being shown on Cinemax. House of Sand and Fog will probably be shown on HBO after its stint on Max is done. Of course, it is also out on DVD and VHS too. It is a movie of which many libertarians have not taken note. This might be for reasons given in my review. If you find my movie review interesting, you might find "This Weekend" to be interesting also. It can be useful even if you don't have (or want) a cable/DBS connection. I am building a cache of movie reviews, which will eventually be presented in other ways at my site, but until then I use what is showing on cable/DBS channels to give a selection with links to channel, purchasing and review information. There is also the rather plain looking "Agora Items." This will be part of what is expanded upon later. If you have suggestions for improvements, I'd be happy to hear them.
