New essays at Endervidualism
November 12, 2004 1:00 a.m., MT Hi all,Cat Farmer has written another gem of an essay: "The Problem with Voting" which I am privileged to publish at Endervidualism. Here's a short sample: "Perhaps I can vote for a candidate who has promised to protect the liberties I cherish, and who honestly means to keep his promises. Can I vote for him without lending my vote to the office he runs for? Can I place my bet on a horse race and demand my money back if my horse doesn't win? No, I don't think the vote works that way, and the only way I see to vote against the system and the inevitable results of an election my candidate can't win is by not voting at all." Her essay is filled with many more similar insights into voting's problems. I also re-published an older review of my latest "This Weekend" (check there for schedules) weekly feature: The Matrix. Skeptical Man may recall reading this review previously on the old Libertarian Party of Wisconsin web site, but when that site was redesigned it disappeared from the web. Now it reappears at Endervidualism. That sort of thing will happen again in the future with several of my old movie reviews which originally appeared years ago in Libertarian print newsletters. I hope you enjoy both Cat's excellent new essay and my republished movie review.
