Decisions, Decisions
November 30, 2004

I mentioned a while ago that I'm on the cusp of a decision. Interestingly, once I decided I was ready to announce the project, I started to come up with all kinds of reasons why I shouldn't do it. So I'm back swinging on the fence again ...

This drives me batty! The two biggest reasons for hesitation are the uncertainty of the move, and my ability to follow through. I've not been impressed with my track record on that of late; and since I'm trying to make that right, should I really be considering another substantial undertaking? But I won't change the trend until I start something, and finish it. But what if you don't finish it? Arrrgh! crazy

It's times like these that I wish I were more male-like; more men seem to have the ability to say, "Fuckitall, I'm going for it!" than women. Or, maybe they just keep all the second-guessing to themselves ... ? Whatever it is, I'd like a big heaping helping of it ... I'm hating the ongoing debate inside my head. And I don't know what it will take to stop it.

On a lighter note, an amusing M/F difference that apparently starts early, if the snolfs are any indication: the three of us were walking by the lingerie section of a store the other day, and noticed the Christmas-themed garments. Orion (the boy) said, "Christmas clothes!" or something like that, while Saaba, ever the fashion queen, gleefully exclaimed, "Ooooh! Sexy underwear! They're so pretty!" She went on at some length (mind you, she's four years old) about how she likes pretty/sexy underwear, and Orion was like, "Whatever". He did perk up at the boys' Spiderman pajamas though. big grin
