Sunni and the Conspirators

Exercising a Girl's Prerogative

Why, to change her mind, of course! razz I've pooh-poohed some of the social networking that goes on via the internet, and have never been much of a joiner, even as a youth ... but then I was clickety-clicking around, and discovered a community whose members are largely folk I'd probably be comfortable hanging with in realspace. That would be the Life, Liberty, and Property community over at The Truth Laid Bear.

Interesting timing, finding it ... the group is apparently just four days old. What's even more interesting to me is that I'm familiar with a few of the blogs already, having followed them as possibilities for inclusion in my Webby Wanderings section of Sunni's Salon. While a bit more traffic wouldn't be unwelcome, in all honesty the reason I signed up is to be more active in a pro-freedom blogging sphere. I've wearied of think tanks and public policy prescriptions and proscriptions, and it appears from what I've read on LLP blogs so far that most of them have as well. (Although I have my doubts about the author of this post, Feeding Frenzy, part I, and am considering my reply to the thoughts therein.) I've enjoyed discovering other like-minded bloggers out there, and am hopeful being part of LLP will lead to more discoveries for me, plus "conversations worth having". [I'll answer a pood-related question or provide a recipe for the first person who can identify the movie that line comes from!]

So, anyway, if you're curious, scroll down and check out the pretty LLP graphic, and the blogroll below it. (I've no idea what the asterisks mean, so don't ask ... I haven't even gotten the secret handshake yet! wink )

In other news, I'm slowly but surely getting things ticked off my too-long to-do list. Happyness for that! Best of all, I've ordered a spiffy glass grinder that is not only more grinder than I'd originally wanted, but for less money than the more basic model I'd been pricing when I came across this one! Have I mentioned lately that I love the internet? Oh, and speaking of loving the internet, if you don't like the paid ads on Google or their increasing snoopiness, you have got to check out Scroogle. And they offer a Firefox plugin ... which isn't as privacy-nice, but still decent.

I'm not sure, but I think the *'s are for most recently posted.

Oh, and you'll learn the secret handshake on your first visit to out secret citadel. smile

Sorry, no idea about the quote.

Like Owlish said, the *'s are indicate someone posted in the last 3 hours. The blogroll also lists most recently posted to least.

There are other spiffy graphics by the way, and one of these days I'll get around to posting how to use them even!

Yeah, we are pretty much anti think tanks, anti policy wonking. We just want to talk about the things that matter to us. Most of us see ourselves as the inheritors of the Revolutionary pamphlet tradition. In other words, we're gonna say what the heck we want, how we want to and hope that it does some good!

And the secret Lair of DOOM, aka the secret citadel, will be revealed in due time.

Thanks for the enlightenment, gents. I wonder if my legacyware Greymatter will play well with the blogrolling software ...

A hint on the quote: it's an older movie, by a well-known director who wasn't so well known (not in the movie biz yet, anyway; he'd been in a decently-successful band and did the musical score for this movie, plus voices) then. The full line is, "We'll have conversations worth having."
