Meme of Four

B.W. Richardson tagged me for the “Meme of Four” last Saturday. I’ve taken a while to respond, but better late than never, I hope.

Four jobs I’ve had:

  1. Busboy (First real wage job);

  2. Short-order cook (first semi-respected wage job);

  3. Stripper (Probably not what you think – in a shoe/boot factory a stripper removes footwear from lasts – provocative ain’t I?);

  4. Computer guy (I’ve done more than four fairly different types of work within the IS/IT trade for over 20 years, but I figure if I only listed them some people would think it a “cop-out”wink.

Four movies I can watch over and over:
(Only four?)

  1. Strictly Ballroom;

  2. Carousel;

  3. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind;

  4. Wild River;

  5. (If this movie would ever be released on DVD, or even VHS, I would write a review of it too.)

Four places I’ve lived:

  1. LaCrosse, Wi.

  2. Madison, Wi.

  3. Fitchburg, Wi.

  4. Middleton, Wi.

(I haven’t had a permanent residence outside Wisconsin.)

Four TV shows I love:
(I hardly watch any “television” these days, so some of mine are old.)

  1. The Daily Show;

  2. Firefly;

  3. Twilight Zone (the original series);

  4. The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (BBC/PBS).

Four highly regarded and recommended TV shows I haven’t seen:

  1. Veronica Mars;

  2. Boston Legal;

  3. Farscape;

  4. The Sopranos.

Four places I’ve vacationed:

  1. Black Hills;

  2. New Orleans;

  3. Atlanta;

  4. Texas.

Four of my favorite dishes:

  1. Prime Rib Au Jus;

  2. Hot and Sour soup;

  3. Fresh cheese curds;

  4. Raw kohlrabi straight from the garden (and peeled).

Four sites I visit daily/regularly:
(Other than Endervidualism):

  1. Sunni Maravillosa and the Conspirators;

  2. Montag ... ;

  3. Out of Step;

  4. Independent Country.

Four places I’d rather be right now:
(No travel backwards in time for me, that’d make a limit of four impossible.)

  1. Driving in the countryside;

  2. Watching a good movie;

  3. Minnesota Renaissance Faire (outside Shakopee, MN.);

  4. Reading in bed (never enough of that).

Four new bloggers I’m tagging

  1. Matt Bryan;

  2. Alina Stefanescu;

  3. Scott Bieser;

  4. Sheldon Richman.

Of course, they remain free to participate or not, but in the unlikely event that they’ve been waiting for a “tag,“ now they have one.

Endervidual,
I like your positive review of Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind.

I am enchanted by that film.

Wow, Tom, I never figured you to be better at following rules than I am! And I agree with Nick; your review of Eternal Sunshine is excellent. It's a bit surprising we both chose that one.

On Sunday, March 12th, at approximately 12:18 a.m. Mountain time, Endervidual said:

Nick, thank you for the compliment on my movie review. I believe my writing has improved as I attempt to use "E-prime" as much as possible. (I miss Craig's writing.) Eternal Sunshine enchants me also.

For my finding of that movie I thank Sunni, who mentioned Eternal Sunshine to me a few months ago. I think we had been talking about Jim Carrey's acting in serious roles. Thank you also Sunni, for your comment on my movie review.

This time following the rules seemed harder than not, so I did. At first, I made a much longer and more elaborate set of answers for both movies and TV, but I changed my mind, again.
