Seeking a New Front Man for the Real ID Rebellion

I announced here a while ago that I'd inadvertently disabled the Greymatter software on the Real ID Rebellion web site and haven't been able to fix it or overwrite it. Since Greymatter is old and legacyware, I decided to migrate the site to a new host and to a Word Press format. The WP database has been set up, but I do not have the skills needed to code the site's design, nor to migrate the existing blog entries over; I also don't have the time to develop those skills at present. Meanwhile, the site has languished; and I recently came to the obvious and painful realization that I'm not able at present to keep this site going.

Thus, I am interested in handing over the site in its current state to a pro-freedom individual or group who can complete the setup process, and make the site an active resource for all interested in educating others on the dangers of the Real ID, and joining the resistance to it. I am not wanting to sell the domain name or site — simply to transfer regular operations at this point. I remain willing to contribute to the site as a blogger and in other capacities if there's interest. The site is currently hosted in the USSA by a pro-freedom outfit, Better Than Yours. They've impressed me with their quality and speed of service.

Any individuals wishing more information regarding the site and its future prospects are welcome to email me your questions. I'm willing to provide more information than I have here, but only under PGP (you can also find my eddress there, if needed). If you aren't sure whether I have your public key, please include it in your inquiry, as inline text rather than an attachment.

If all that high-tech blogging crud is too cumbersome and is what is preventing your resurrecting the realidrebellion site, why not convert it all into good old PLAIN and SIMPLE HTML, i.e., create a simple webpage, and get busy bringing things up to date on it?

While many people who are trying to generate an anti-Real ID movement, but are being hampered by all this complex technological stuff, and are wasting time wringing hands over their dilemma rather than shifting down to a simpler approach, the Feds and many states are marching rapidly along, getting the Real ID implemented. You think Digimarc is going to REFUND all those billions it's being awarded to get those Real ID cards devised? Not likely. The longer it takes for Americans to get informed, wake up, and start protesting and resisting Real ID, the more likely the ugly beast really WILL go into effect on MOTHER's DAY 2008!

Many anti-Real ID websites have encountered problems of one sort or another, perhaps because they are trying to utilize all the fancy bells & whistles available on the Net, rather than focusing on real grassroots activism efforts to STOP REAL ID in its tracks and get the monster repealed. We don't need BLOGS and fancy interactive mechanisms to do what needs to be done... Just dedicated folks who'll keep the sites updated with HELPFUL INFO...

Hopefully if some of the sites that have started to fight Real ID but have fizzled will shift to a more sane approach, they, and your project, too, can soon get back on track and focus on motivating the nation to REFUSE REAL ID.
