Sunni and the Conspirators

Despite all my years of edumakashun, I'm just not all that trainable, I guess. What with various projects under way, the busy routine I've established here at MAL's, and a few wells of deep thought I've been plumbing more regularly of late, it's been increasingly difficult to concurrently raise time, attention, and subject matter for blogging. And I'd much rather be absent than dribble drivel.

So, until I find something worth sharing, here are a few things that have caught my attention of late, in various ways and for differing reasons:

1. More Carnage from the Car Wreck Dept. – Time to party like it's 1773

2. Interesting Development Dept. – Shell calls food crop biofuels 'morally inappropriate'

3. Take That, T.J. Dept. – Jefferson Was All Wet

4. Musical Notes Dept. – The valedictory of Mr. Cash

5. Why Not, Indeed Dept. – Why's and Wherefore's

6. Cinematic Notes Dept. – Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

7. Beauty and Poetry Dept. – flowers and trees and tongues and bliss and good questions.

Aww ...
Just because I visited the site a few extra times looking for something new, and hung around looking rejected, and maybe rapped on the window a little, and maybe refolded your handtowels into pyramids, I didn't think I was Demanding anything!

And, in the TJ Dept, why should anyone interpret the idea of people being equal as though they were numbers, that must be exactly the same to be equal. People are never that simple. Since each is unique their total value is so far beyond our ability to measure that we'd do best to regard the value of each as infinite. It is only in this way that any are equal.

Thank you for the pretty towel decorations, SRS! They were appreciated ... although now the snolfs are even less inclined to wash their hands. Although I must say your observations regarding equality are much more breathtaking to my mind.
