Brilliant

Sunni, I'm going to start quoting you too :-)

The city shutdown and religious fiasco will descend upon Sydney in another week or so...

With the new draconian laws now in place, some intending protesters (i.e., people who were sexually abused by clergyman in their youth, to name but one category) are actually asking police if their simple "Apologise" T-Shirts are offensive etc. The police usually say "we don't know" and instead call for a member of the organising committee behind the fiasco to make a judgement...what a world - the lunatics are indeed running the asylum. Sounds like the rise of religious fanatacism outlined in Heinlein's 'Future History' Timeline (and the dates fit in too -early 21st C)

Other intending protestors are not aking for permission - and aim to distribute (for eg) thousands of condoms to 'pilgrims' during their stay in Sydney. Others will be wearing atheist T-shirts, and so on. These sorts of protestors have been labelled "biggots" and "prejudiced" by some pilgrims...this is the problem when cult members are given one distorted view of history (also known as a fairy tale). I wonder if an "Apologise to Galileo" or "Galileo for sainthood" T-shirt would be offensive? (merely retracting his sentence in 1992 - long after he had died! - is hardly an apology).
