The Red Pill

This really spoke to me, Sunni. You know that I went through a similar experience after I left the Libertarian Party many years ago (1982). I could not see any other way to "fight" for liberty then, so gave up on the whole war and decided to live my own life the best I knew how and forget it.

Then, starting with The Liberty Round Table and The Sierra Times, I discovered that the "war" was indeed futile. What was necessary was the education afforded by examples of those who took personal responsibility for their own lives and liberty.

So, by my life and words, I offer water to all the horses I can find. Some will drink, and others won't - but their life or reaction is not my problem or responsibility.

Therefore, burnout and the "war" fatigue mentality are only sad memories, and when I begin to feel that way again I know it is time to rethink my choices and goals. I get discouraged only when my own example seems to fall short of the ideal, which simply spurs me on to make better choices the next time.

My goal is to live as free as possible, here and now, and speak to as many others as I can. But they have to drink the water for themselves.

You have been a wonderful example to me, and I first drank the cool, clear water you offered so long ago. Thank you dear. ML
