Happy Independence Day To You, Too!

This is one of my most often listened to tunes. A fine piece of Rebellion music!

Yep, and counter-economic too . . .

I somehow missed hearing (or perhaps noticing, though I doubt that) that song for years, but when I started listening to Internet radio through Amarok earlier this year I heard it on RTN Radio.

Some of the YouTube related videos for "Copperhead Road" aren't bad either. For example, I enjoyed the Jerry Jeff Walker interview of Steve Earle that preceded the acoustic version from 1991.

I haven't yet bought a Steve Earle CD, but I have bought a fair number of other music CDs since I recently started listening to music more often again. Anyone who doesn't grasp that radio (Internet as well as other forms) and YouTube both make for free music advertising — and therefore increase CD sales — might not be firing on all cylinders.

Do you have a recommendation for a Steve Earle disc?

Hmm

"Copperhead Road" is a good starting point. "The Mountain" has a couple of tunes on it that I'm really fond of, tho "Connemara Breakdown" and "Dixieland". He's got so many albums out there it'd be hard to put a finger on his best. If you're using iTunes or the like pick and choose, since there are so many good tracks out there from Steve.

On topic and really well done.

Re: The Revolution Starts...Now

I wholeheartedly agree with Williams Dad on The Revolution Starts...Now. And thanks to Ender for the video. It made my day.
