Thanks to everyone who kindly let me know about the site being down yesterday. Dunno what the problem was (other than it being some kind of server glitch), but I hope it’s behind us for good. Anyway, that unpleasant discovery wasn’t the worst part of the day ...
As if I haven’t had enough distractions taking me away from Sunni’s Salon, yesterday morning I spent mopping instead of writing. [Hey ... Uriah Heep fans, sing it with me!: I was mopping ... when I shoulda been writing/Mopping ... when I shoulda been writing] The rains finally found a way into the basement; fortunately, it was relatively little water and we don’t have a lot of stuff stored on the floor. And the mopping was good exercise for me.
All the same, I don’t need a recurrence of that ... but rain is forecast through the rest of the week. So off to the writing I go, while I can devote as much energy as I can to it.
That Wasn’t the Worst Part of My Day Yesterday
Glitches and leaking basements...
I never had a basement before, so was shocked to learn that most of them leak... at some point or another anyway. And my house is high on a hill - and it still leaks a little once in a while. So... mopping is good, but I cheat and use a shop vac. LOL
Still getting a "page not found" message on the opening page when I come to this site, but at least I can navigate to find the various blogs... Looks like there are still some little wild electrons running around loose here.
