"[John Fogerty] stated that this song was specifically asking who would stop the rain of B.S. coming from Washington D.C. during the Vietnam war."

Hi Astoria,

I had actually looked at that Songfacts page before posting. It has a few references to the "reign" idea also.

I've been a CCR fan for a very long time. They had a big influence on many of my friends and I in the late sixties. If you liked that last one, I suspect you'll like this too --
