Pardon Me While I Vent a Little

The least I can do is be considerate and put it behind the curtain so y’all aren’t unwittingly exposed to my nutty ravings.
First, to any readers in the area: I apologize for all the crummy weather lately. See, every time I’ve washed my ski suit in order to have it clean and ready for travel, the weather then turns to snow or cold, driving rain. (We’re currently getting the latter, which is expected to turn into the former over the weekend. Joy.) However, I am determined not to wear my ski suit again before I leave, which means it will stay clean, and which (I hope) will mean no more of this awful weather.

Second, I accumulate way too much stuff. Wine bottles from nigh on a decade ago? Yeah, the label is pretty, but ... it’s just a regular wine bottle. And how did a tomboy like me get so many pairs of hose and stockings??

It’s too bad this gorgeous bottle of amaretto is now empty ... I could use a shot or seven.

Moving is never fun

I hope you find a bottle or two with liqueur still in them to...lubricate the process.

meh--- packing for a move is a bitch

Did I ever tell you I moved 7 times in 9 years, when I was married to my ex? I despise packing for a move. I hope your packing finished up smoothly and you find a tipple to make it more palatable.

A moving vet

I, too, have moved much. I have been stationary now the longest since I was about 9, before my parents divorced, and it has only been four years. Before that, my longest tenure in any one place was not more than two years, which only happened three times.

Besides moving myself, I once drove a truck. I needn't say any more.

Keep your head up.

Yesterday, I didn’t mention ...

скалы. I’m embarrassed that I have so many of them. I can’t seem to help but acquire them, pretty much everywhere I go. I even left a stash behind in México that includes my favorite one. This time, I may just need to leave them behind ...

And yes, I do have many bottles with booze in them—while a drink or two would help me relax, it would almost certainly also contribute to some respiratory challenges.

So that was you

Actually, this time of year, this general part of the country, anything can happen. That's the best part of living here: Any of the four seasons can show up at any time!

That is, in the end, why we consume so much alcohol.

So, we should be singing “Four Seasons in One Day”?

And what explains the cheese consumption?

I hope you and yours can come visit us out west ... I will miss you enormously.
