Truffles for New Year’s, Anyone?

I hadn’t intended to offer truffles this early, simply because of how busy this time of year is; I didn’t want to get in over my head. But someone I don’t want to disappoint inquired after four flavors, so I figured I’d toss the idea out here in case others are interested.

The requested flavors are: mint julep (and I have homegrown mint to use in it now); key lime; raspberry cordial; and piña colada. The plan is to make the candies the weekend of December 20–21, for shipping Monday, 12/22. That should leave plenty of time for shipping, even with the holiday overload, for them to arrive by 12/31. The larger the quantity I need to make, the lower the unit price will be ... and for estimating’s sake, let’s say that the most each truffle will be is $0.95, and the least, $0.80. The smallest order I have packaging for is a mere four truffles; and I can probably get up to three dozen in one of my shipping boxes. Shipping costs will be estimated based on each order’s weight, the destination, and shipping method (it might be best to choose UPS or FedEx ground shipping). I can ship truffles as gifts (with or without gift wrapping), and will barter.
