I flashed on something last night. Since the inauguration I don't think that I have seen one single photo, mention or sound-bite about Bush. NONE! Considering what we've got in exchange I don't know that it's been an improvement, but I must say it is so refreshing not to have that smarmy piece of crap in front of my eyes and ears anymore. Can you imagine the world sans politicians en toto? Not even Disneyland goes that far. Man, would that be something or what? You know what's a shame? I don't think Robert A. Heinlein had any children. Now THAT is almost criminal.

Yes, I can.
I was thinking on the same thing with respect to Bushnev over the weekend; and it is a nice change of pace (remember how the Clintons did not fade away?).
Yes, I can—and I do, with frequency and delight. I would much rather take my chances in that world than put up with even the best-intentioned politicians.
Idiot!
Yes, the world has moved on... :-)
And science is finally getting a look in too - here is something very short I wrote after the previous idiot banned stem cell research:
Spare Parts
The president announced today that stem-cell research was unethical:
“These leftover cells from IVF programs – those little boys and girls – are not spare parts.”
Asked when troops deployed in the gulf – once actual little boys and girls – were coming home, he answered soberly, “When they find Gilligan and the castaways.”
Interesting that you mention Robert A. Heinlein - only last night I started re-reading 'Grumbles From The Grave'.
