Mama's Travels

Mama Liberty's picture

Just thought I'd jump in and say I'm traveling for a few days and can't always get on line. I'll be writing about my experiences soon, just be warned. [grin]

No problems at the Denver airport, for starters. Except for the terrible feeling of being a helpless potential victim since I was socially naked... totally disarmed, and all the little indignities like being forced to walk barefoot while my shoes went through the x ray machine, of course... Exactly the way the TSA and their masters want it.

But, I kept my mouth shut and didn't make waves, so I made it to Los Angeles and can visit my grandchildren here instead of them visiting me in jail there.

Such a deal...

An or-deal, isn’t it?

I’m glad you made it there okay. On our recent travels we drove through L.A., and I’m honestly not sure which is worse, driving or flying there.

Flying!

Given a choice, I'll fly - in spite of the nonsense. :)

We drove up the coast to see relatives Wed., I'll drive out to the desert to visit old friends tomorrow, and then we'll drive down to Indio on Monday to see my sons. Lots of driving.

The nice part is that I don't have to do most of it! Age and rank has its privilege. LOL

But, I'll be very happy to get home. This is like a foreign country now. Ok to visit, but I wouldn't want to live here.

Checking in

Still alive and well! It's been very busy visiting family and a few special friends. One was an extraordinary experience that I'll have to relate later.

Seeing my sons and the two grandchildren is so wonderful I can't describe it.

And yet... I'll be so happy to get home. There is TRULY "no place like home." :)

Good to hear from you!

I hope your birthday was especially happy for all concerned. Safe travels home!

Finally home

Actually, I got home Friday evening, but spent the weekend at an Appleseed shoot so am just now getting back in the groove here. Lots to do and catch up on, of course, but I'll be writing about my adventures soon. :)

Yay!

Glad to hear you made it home safely. We're still in the throes of moving, but making good progress every day.
