... and I can't help but wonder, Why on earth is the Washington Post and the New York Times [
] reporting on the shootings near Bellefontaine, Ohio? I've been in that town many times ... enjoyed a couple of attractions in the area, had friends who lived nearby ... there's nothing about that rural community that would capture the interest of the big-city mainstream media, for whom it's normally just another unnoticed town in "flyover country".
Reading through both news stories, I had my suspicions justified. Quoth the Times, and the Post, respectively:
"We found a rifle at the scene that we believe is the weapon," Sheriff Henry said. "But we also found multiple weapons inside the first house."
and
Investigators found several guns at the scene, Henry said, including a rifle inside the house where the four bodies were found.
Ah yes, let's continue to demonize guns. That's always "news".
